Biodet Services directors are Adrienne Burnie, Elaine Khor and Kate Fletcher.

Adrienne Burnie (BSc Microbiology and NZCM Technology Part II, III) has over 25 years' experience in the field of industrial microbiology. She also has experience as a medical technologist. Adrienne’s particular area of expertise is in food, water and environmental microbiology, in particular microbial air quality issues.

Elaine Khor (BSc) is a graduate of Auckland University and holds a degree in Biomedical Science. She has been with Biodet since 2008 and is our Laboratory Manager.

Kate Fletcher (BSc) is a graduate of Auckland University and holds a degree in Physiology and Genetics. She has over 15 years' experience in microbiology and is one of Biodet's Senior Consultants.

Founding Director: Dr Elizabeth Ebbett - B.Sc Hon, D.Phil (Oxon): Elizabeth started Biodet in 1975 and spent decades building a successful niche microbiological business. In June 2017 Elizabeth passed away and is fondly remembered by her team. We particularly love the above photograph of Liz taken in her university days.

Neethu Arun (MSc) is a graduate of Auckland University and holds a Masters of Science. She joined Biodet in 2017 and is working as a microbiology consultant.

Lam Chow (BSc) is a graduate of Auckland University of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science. He joined Biodet in 2017 and is working as a microbiology consultant.

Pallavi Tarpara (BSc) is a graduate of Sardar Patel University in India and holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She joined Biodet in 2018 and is working as a microbiology consultant.

Piushani Morapaya (PGDipBiomedSci) is a graduate of Auckland University and holds a Postgraduate diploma in Biomedical Sciences. She is working in a part-time capacity as a microbiological analyst.​

Nicholas Buckley (BSc) is a a graduate of Auckland University of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science. He joined Biodet in 2021 and is working as a microbiological technician.

Kenny Chin (BSc) is a graduate of University of Auckland and holds a Bachelor of Science. He joined Biodet in 2021 and is working as a microbiological technician.

Henry Chang (BSc) is a graduate of Auckland University of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science. He joined Biodet in 2023 and is working as a microbiology technician.
